The sinus infection is also known as the sinusitis in an inflammation of the sinuses tissue. In normal condition the sinuses filled with air but when it is filled by the fluid the sinuses become blocked and germs will grow and cause infection. Meanwhile, the recurrent sinusitis is the type of sinusitis where the attack of the sinus infection is repeated several times in one year.
About 30 million American people got sinusitis attack each year. Mostly, people with blockage of drainage ducts have structural differences that make the drainage duct narrow, nasal polyps. While the children will suffer sinusitis from the environmental factors like allergies, illness from the other children when they play at school or day care, and smoke in the environment.
The symptoms of acute sinusitis are the pain in the face, nasal stuffiness, nasal discharge, losing the sense of smell, cough, fever, bad breath, fatigue and dental pain.
